What does Hope & Help International (HHI) do with the profits?

HHI's heart is to equip nationals for the work of ministry; profits will go to training/sending missionaries to unreached people groups; there are currently 36 unreached tribes that are being reached by HHI.

What places will we see?
The general highlights include, but are not limited to: Caesarea by the sea, Galilee, the Jordan River Valley, the Dead Sea, En Gedi, Megiddo, Masada, Qumran (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found), Garden of Gethsemane, Garden Tomb, & Jerusalem. This could change at any point.
What about COVID?
No COVID vaccine/testing/masks required as of right now
Is it safe to travel to Israel?
How many people can go on a tour?
30 is a good sized group; they prefer to fit everyone on one bus
Is there a visa required?
No; Israel will also not stamp your passport (however, you do still need a passport to travel)
What's the weather like in November?
Temperatures in the 70s/dry; cool in the evenings
What clothing do I wear?
Anything you would normally wear except for at holy sites (no knees/shoulders exposed). Hats & sunscreen are recommended. If at the Dome of the Rock, you must be thoroughly covered, no exceptions.
What do days look like and how much walking is involved?
Days are long to fit in as much as possible; generally 7am breakfast, leave between 8-9; may end around 5:30/6pm; there will be a lot of walking, especially in Jerusalem -- getting in shape and being able to walk longer distances is highly recommended.
Should I get travel insurance?
Having it is highly recommended
What is money exchange like?
American dollars are widely spent in Israel; you can exchange to shekels at the hotel; ATMs are also available (be sure to notify your bank ahead of time)
Is there an option to meet up in Israel?
What is the passport timeline?
If you don’t have a passport, start now - do not wait
If you do have a passport, check to make sure it does not expire within 6 months after the trip dates (must not expire before May of 2024), otherwise they will not let you in; renewals can also take a long time, so do not wait to renew if you need to do so.
How long is the flight?
About 9 hours there and about 11 hours back
Can kids go?
Taking little kids is not recommended
Where will we be staying?
4/5 star hotels with buffet style breakfasts and dinners
Are electrical outlets the same?
No, they are European style; you will need a plug adapter/converter if using items with standard plugs
