Following Jesus. Together.
What is Discipleship?
Disciples follow Jesus and encourage others to pursue Christ by proclaiming the gospel, teaching sound doctrine, and modeling spiritual practices.
At The Chapel, discipleship is about helping everyday people become everyday people on mission. Whether you're just beginning or eager to go deeper, our goal is to equip you to follow Jesus with your whole life—at home, at work, and in the world. One way we do that is through our 4:12 Sunday Equipping Class, a monthly gathering inspired by Ephesians 4:12, designed to help you grow in faith, practice what you're learning, and walk in community with others.

Active Classes & Group Studies

Next Session: June 22
A once-a-month gathering with teaching, hands-on practice, and real-life testimonies—all designed to help you grow in following Jesus and equipping others to do the same.
Have Questions?
We’ve answered some of the most common ones below to help you get started.
What is it?
Equipping Classes are monthly discipleship gatherings inspired by Ephesians 4:12, designed to help you grow in outward-facing ministry. Each session functions like a practical seminar—with a short teaching, hands-on “lab” time, discussion, and real-life stories. Whether you're making disciples for the first time or looking to grow in how you disciple others, these classes offer practical tools to help you move from theory to practice and live out your faith with contagious joy.
Who is it for?
This class is for any adult or youth believer who wants to grow in following Jesus and living out their faith beyond Sunday mornings—whether you're just getting started or have been walking with Him for years. In short, it’s for all of us!
Do I need to come every month, or can I just attend when I’m able?
Each class is self-contained, so you’re welcome to jump in at any time—whether you attend one, a few, or all of them. If a topic grabs your interest, feel free to come for that session. While each class stands alone, they’re designed to work best as a whole, so we encourage you to come as often as you’re able.
What kinds of topics will be covered?
Each month will cover a specific theme. We’ll explore practical, everyday aspects of ministry and mission—like discipleship, evangelism, spiritual gifts, prayer and fasting, and how to study and share the Bible. Topics include: What is Discipleship?, Operating in the Power of the Holy Spirit, Priesthood of the Believer, Evangelism and Missions, Teaching Others to Study the Bible, and Prayer and Fasting.
When and where do we meet?
Classes meet monthly on 4th Sundays from 4:12-6:00 PM in the youth room at the church. Our first session is on June 22.
Do I have to sign up?
Nope! Just show up. We'll be ready for you.
Can children participate?
This class is targeted to youth and adults, and childcare will not be provided. Children are welcome to attend if they are able to sit with their parents during the class. We recognize that this will make attendance difficult for some families. We will be repeating these classes twice each year so parents can take turns attending class.
