Slide 6: Going to The Chapel of Love
Where there is a lack of love, repent.
Use your words wisely
James 3:8 But no one can tame the tongue; [it is] a restless evil [and] full of deadly poison.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Be prepared to go to your brother.
Matthew 5:21 "You have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER' and 'Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.' 22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty [enough to go] into the fiery hell. 23 "Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
Matthew 18:15 "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 "But if he does not listen [to you,] take one or two more with you, so that BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY FACT MAY BE CONFIRMED. 17 "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Seek the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22a But the fruit of the Spirit is love…
Romans 5:5b…because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
