serve

We serve our community and we serve the Kingdom because Christ served.

Meet the teams:

At The Chapel, we don’t work hard to make much of ourselves; we want to make much of Jesus! One of the best ways to get involved here is to serve alongside our dedicated volunteer teams. Each group plays a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment, from helping first-time visitors feel welcome to providing engaging experiences for our children and youth. Volunteers are an essential part of our church family, and God has given each of us unique gifts and abilities to share.

Take a moment to explore each team’s mission, discover how you can contribute, and fill out the serve form to indicate your areas of interest. We’ll be in touch with more information on how you can get involved in serving our church family. Together, we can make a difference for His glory!

We believe that cKids is a discipleship ministry, not just childcare—our children will participate in age-appropriate teaching, engaging activities, worship, and fun! This is a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families at The Chapel and represent Jesus in a way that brings Him glory.

Facilities Team:

The Facilities volunteer team is dedicated to keeping our church building and grounds clean and welcoming throughout the week. We take pride in creating an environment where everyone feels connected and encouraged, fostering a spirit of togetherness that enhances our worship gathering.

We’re looking for individuals eager to roll up their sleeves and help beautify our church grounds! If you enjoy working outdoors or tidying up to create an organized environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You can contribute as much time as you’d like—whether it's 15 minutes or several hours—during the week, typically Monday-Thursday. These roles are flexible and you will work alongside the staff facilities team to determine your weekly tasks. Many volunteers even bring their children to help!
Roles you can sign up to serve in:
Cleaning/Janitorial
As a member of the Cleaning Team, you may engage in a variety of tasks, including vacuuming carpets and stairs, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and stocking restrooms. You’ll also help sanitize children's classrooms and restrooms, clean windows, stock closets, fill soap containers, and occasionally tackle deep cleaning projects. Other tasks may include changing air filters, organizing spaces, and tidying up upstairs kitchen counters, doors, and sinks.
Grounds/Outside Upkeep
If you're part of the Grounds/Outside Upkeep Team, you'll enjoy helping to beautify the property by spreading mulch, pulling or spraying weeds, planting flowers, or trimming shrubs. You may also pick up trash or blow leaves in various parts of the campus, as needed (note: this role doesn’t include mowing or weed eating).
Maintenance and Setup/Tear-Down
Volunteers will serve alongside the facilities team to help with various maintenance and repairs or assist with setup and tear-down in areas such as services, events (on and off campus), groups, classes, and parking.
Join us in making our church a beautiful and inviting place for everyone!

Guest Services Team:

The Guest Services volunteer team is one of the first friendly faces people see when they arrive for worship! Our mission is to help everyone feel welcomed and connected in our church community, creating an environment where people can grow closer to the Lord and to one another. You’ll play a vital role in fostering a sense of togetherness, ensuring that everyone feels valued and part of The Chapel family.

We’re looking for volunteers who are welcoming, available, and cheerful—engaging and observant individuals who can create a pleasant and distraction-free atmosphere for worship. Whether you’re greeting newcomers, assisting with seating, helping someone safely cross the street, or driving someone to the front door, your service will help create a joyful environment where everyone can find encouragement, comfort, and joy in Christ, no matter what their week has been like.
Roles you can sign up to serve in:
Greeter
As a greeter, you’ll create a joyful atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. With a warm smile and friendly interactions, you’ll provide encouragement and comfort to all who enter, setting the tone for a positive worship gathering.
Usher
Ushers play a crucial role in helping people find a seat in the sanctuary. With warm welcomes and attentive assistance, they ensure everyone feels comfortable and accommodated. Ushers are also there to answer common questions and direct newcomers to our lobby ambassadors, making the experience smooth and enjoyable for all.
Parking
Our Parking team helps maintain organization and safety in the parking lot. You’ll efficiently manage the flow of cars, watch for pedestrians, and provide a welcoming presence to new visitors. Your role is essential in directing people the right way, ensuring a smooth and safe arrival for everyone.
Golf Cart
As a golf cart driver, you’ll be the friendly face who helps people get to the lobby safely and easily. This role combines elements of a greeter and an ambassador, allowing you to assist those who may have challenges getting around while providing a warm welcome and setting a positive tone for their visit.
Join us in this rewarding ministry, and help make our church a welcoming place for all!
