Let’s review:

- Generosity is a fruit of grace. (8:1, 6-7)

- Our gifts are to be voluntary and according to what we have. (8:3, 12)

- Gifts are to be administered wisely in the sight of the Lord and men. (8:18-21)

- We sow what we reap. (9:6)

- God loves a cheerful giver. (9:7)

- Generosity is an act of faith. (9:8-10)

Generosity sows and reaps worship.

Want to create some community? Practice the Gospel through generosity!

John 13:35

"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Acts 2:44-47

And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; 45 and they [began] selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Let every gift turn your eyes to the Giver.

Romans 8:32

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

James 1:17

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Exhortations for The Chapel:

- Teach your children to give in grace and as an act of worship.

- Be intentional with your gifts and combine them with prayer.

- Be generous because you’re inspired by the Gospel, not because it’s demanded.

- Our generosity is a group project.

- Glorify God both with and for generosity.

2 Corinthians 8:9

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
