Missions

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…

Matthew 28:19

We are called to go. The Chapel has been blessed with people that are passionate about being obedient to Christ in this. Our church has gone into our community, and internationally, to share the love and Word of God, for the furtherance of His Kingdom. Witness is part of our DNA, and if the Lord wills, we will continue to take the Good News to those who are without it.

Some of our missions philosophy:

Sharing the Gospel

Missions is more than work projects, more than travel, more than giving. We go, do, and give - so that we can speak the Gospel to people. Romans 10 says “whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? How shall they hear without a preacher?” We MUST speak the truth and details of the Gospel. Otherwise we are making people more comfortable on their way to an eternity without Jesus.

Discipleship

A missionary named CT Studd once said “The light that shines the farthest, shines the brightest at home.” We believe that mission trips and local outreach help us, the Church, experience God’s provision and grow in confidence in sharing our faith in everyday life. You can travel around the globe to share the Gospel, and you will experience the Holy Spirit providing thoughts, scripture and opportunity. Hopefully you would then realize that it has nothing to do with your geography, but with your obedience. The Spirit is the same in Tennessee as He is in SouthEast Asia. Every Chapel missionary is expected to start their day by seeking the Lord in His Word. Then, they seek opportunities to serve His Kingdom while surrounded by other brothers and sisters in Christ. This true fellowship leads to discipleship and lasting relationships.

Prayer

Home or abroad, we do not save anyone. Jesus Christ has done the work, the Spirit convicts; we just tell them about it. So, we pray. Before, during, and after. We cry out to God for the lost in our lives, and around the world. We ask that He move in mighty ways, revealing Himself -for His glory. Would you pray with us?

- SE Asia -

Would you pray for the unreached and unengaged people that our church has adopted in SouthEast Asia? Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to them through dreams and visions. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sins, and of their need for Christ. We have taken the Gospel there, and hope to return to build on relationships. Please pray for those opportunities. Also lift up the missionaries that are serving the Kingdom there.

- Orphanage Emmanuel -

Orphanage Emmanuel serves around 500 kids at any given time in Honduras. A small staff works very hard to meet their physical, mental, and spiritual needs. Please pray for the staff and kids! Pray for continued miraculous provision, for protection, and for the joy of Christ to continue to reign there.

- Detroit -

The greater Detroit area is home to the largest Muslim population in the US. Some of whom are men, women and children from countries closed to the Gospel. We partner with a small team of long term missionaries that are committed to seeing these people come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Pray with us for breakthrough there! Pray for endurance for the workers. Pray for the Gospel to take root, and then to be taken home to those closed countries.

These are places where we believe the Lord has led our church. Long-term missionaries are working year-round in each location. We have taken teams there and hope to return for years to come; serving in any way that is helpful to the workers on the ground.
