50 Days of Prayer

From Passover to Pentecost

Adapted from Project 2026: The Million Souls Campaign by P. Douglas Small
A Joint Project of Prayer at the Heart and Project Pray

How to Use This Guide

This 50-day prayer journey follows the season from Passover to Pentecost starting on Resurrection Sunday. It’s designed to be simple, flexible, and meaningful—whether you have a few minutes or more time to linger.
We’ve adapted this guide from Prayer at the Heart (Project 2026) and simplified it to make it easy to use in everyday life. You can learn more at prayerattheheart.org.
Each day includes:
  • A short Scripture
  • 1–2 prayer prompts
  • A specific place or people group to pray for
How to begin:
  • Set aside a few minutes each day
  • Read the Scripture
  • Pray through the prompts
  • Add people from your own life (family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, community leaders, etc.)
You can start at any time and go at your own pace. We encourage you to write down a list of people you’re praying for and return to those names throughout the 50 days. You don’t need to be an expert at prayer, just willing!

"The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." (James 5:16b)

[Matthew 8:1-2 NASB95]; "And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him, and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented." Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." But the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does [it.]" Now when Jesus heard [this,] He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. "I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline [at the table] with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed." And the servant was healed that [very] moment. Now when they heard [this,] they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" Peter [said] to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!" So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they [began] selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart," [Acts 2:36-46 NASB95]
