Psalm 119:105 

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

 

Summary: The power of remembering replaces fear with confidence.

 

Prayer: Be my light, my deliverance, and my strength. Replace the fear in my life with confidence in You.

 

Psalm 23:5 

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

 

Summary: Worship is another reminder of God’s abiding presence.

 

Prayer: Help me to grow in my practice of worship so that I will be more aware of your constant presence. May I desire “to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.”

 

Isaiah 49:15-16

"Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. 16 "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms [of My hands;] Your walls are continually before Me.

 

Summary: God is faithful, He does not forsake His children.

 

Prayer: God, You are faithful to Your promises. Hear my cries again and be my help.

 

Summary: Walking in His ways even in the face of our enemies allows us to see His goodness.

 

Prayer: “Teach me Your way O Lord…that I may see Your goodness in the land of the living.”

 

Genesis 17:1 

Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.

 

Joshua 1:6-9

"Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. 8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9 "Have I not commanded you?
