A Mother’s Day Commission
A Mother’s Day Commission
Remember the paradox principle: we must balance biblical truths that may initially seem to be contradictory.
Theme: Fulfilling the Great Commission begins at home.
Creation observations:

Deuteronomy 6:6-7
"These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7 "You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

1 Corinthians 7:7, 32-35
Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that. ... 32 But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; 33 but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, 34 and [his interests] are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 This I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but to promote what is appropriate and [to secure] undistracted devotion to the Lord.
Matthew 28:19-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
An alternative translation of the cultural mandate and the great commission: Go and fill the Earth with the image and Glory of God.

God sees your sacrifices for your family as faithfulness.

She made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head."
