1. Realize Your Need to Power Up!

2. Remember that Power comes from a Person!

And Jesus said, ““And I will ask the Father, and he will give you (another) HELPER, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees HIM or knows HIM. You know HIM, for HE dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17

3. Recognize that His Power has a Purpose!

"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the ]Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” John 16:7

A. Power to Expand the Kingdom!

“Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised…In a few days from now you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth!” Acts 1:4, 5, 8

B. Power to Express God’s Love in the Kingdom!

“Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit…” Ephesians 5:18
