Slides:

Slide: You’ve been given authority to do everything Jesus asks you to do. You conduit!

Slide: Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Slide: Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

Slide: Missionaries need R&R (rest and re-filling).

Slide: John 4:6...So Jesus, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Slide: Luke 8:46 But Jesus said, "Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me."

Slide: Ephesians 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit…

Slide: We are conduits of the grace, power, and authority of God.

Slide: Jesus is our compassionate shepherd.

Slide: Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Slide: Most common reasons we don’t consistently demonstrate the compassion of Jesus:
* We’re too tired, busy, and empty.
* We don’t understand the grace of God given to us.

Slide: 1 Peter 2:9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR [God's] OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY. 11 Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. 12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe [them,] glorify God in the day of visitation.

Slide: You’re only the conduit, not the source; just start by stewarding what you have well.

Slide: How can I find rest, satisfaction, and fruitfulness?

Slide: God’s Word as our spiritual food:
* Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.
* Psalm 105:40 They asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
* 1 Peter 2:2 like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
* Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"
* John 6:31 "Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, 'HE GAVE THEM BREAD OUT OF HEAVEN TO EAT.'" ... 35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
