Theme: To be united with Christ is to take on a new identity. It is a dying to sin and a living to righteousness.

The Christian’s relationship to sin has changed: We have died to sin, but it has not died to us.

Baptism = immersion or submersion

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

Jesus didn’t come “just” to save you, He came to set you free!

Galatians 5:17

For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

It’s not enough to know the facts of the Gospel, you must be united with Jesus through it.
