1 Corinthians 16:13-14 

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love.

Leviticus 25:23 

'The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are [but] aliens and sojourners with Me.

What if we had this type of zeal to please God?

Titus 2:14 

who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

We don’t come to God as mighty men and women of valor. 

1 Samuel 22:1-2

So David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam; and when his brothers and all his father's household heard [of it,] they went down there to him. 2 Everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him; and he became captain over them. Now there were about four hundred men with him.

Romans 12:2 

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Our adequacy and weaponry come from God.

2 Corinthians 3:5 

Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as [coming] from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,

Ephesians 6:17 

And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Acts 1:8 

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

Our calling is based on covenant.

1 Chronicles 11:10 

Now these are the heads of the mighty men whom David had, who gave him strong support in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

Matthew 28:18-20 

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

The source of our courage is in our unity with Christ.

Romans 6:5-7 

For if we have become united with [Him] in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be [in the likeness] of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with [Him,] in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin.

Romans 7:4 

Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

Luke 22:20 

And in the same way [He took] the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
