Your gentleness made me great.
"...but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32)
The scriptures urge us to know Jesus, to love Jesus, and to know and believe that Jesus loves us. It is only from this place that we can truly live the Christian life as God intends.
We can trust Jesus’ leadership in the unfolding of human history and in the unfolding of our own life stories, because He has proven His meek and lowly heart to us at the cross.
Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Psalm 147:10
His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.
Christian maturity does not consist of becoming a more independent person, it consists of growing more and more dependent on Jesus.
In times of doubt and despair take courage in the truth that God has appointed times of victory.
When we live for the glory of God, we find the joy of living for something far greater than ourselves, and we leave an unshakeable legacy for the generations to come.
Isaiah 9:7
Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
Let Christ subdue you more fully. Know the freedom of coming more deeply under his control. That is the place where you will experience victory.
